The Father’s Day Fishing Rodeo is an annual event that takes place each year on the Saturday before Father’s Day. The purpose of the event is to organize one day for fathers and their sons to spend time together, and ultimately unite all of the young men of Coatesville. The fishing rodeo is held at Paradise Farm Camps, which is only particularly for B.R.I.D.G.E.E. members as a private event, but has recently expanding to members of the Coatesville community.

Pennsylvania State Representative, Harry Lewis, was in attendance at the rodeo and cookout with nearly 60 students and families as the attendees brought grills, hot-dogs, and sodas to share a meal together. The event has gained the support of the Pennsylvania Fishing Commission, which provides the fishing rods and bait, sponsors from the men of MLK breakfast, Earl Johnson, Chief of Volunteer Service at the Coatesville Medical Center, and other local organizations including Dream B.I.G., and the Scott Middle School.

Last year’s event in 2016 was the 4th annual in B.R.I.D.G.E.E. history. The events also featured over $200 worth of prizes including both $50 gift certificates and $25 gift certificates to encourage the students and their families to get involved with fishing and the environment to celebrate the sports as an old past-time.
